What is the Start Ship date on a fulfillment request?
The Start Ship date on a fulfillment request is the start of your shipping window; it's the earliest date that you'll allow Shipvine to ship your order.
For most orders in the system, the Start Ship date is the same day as or next business day after (depending on the size of the fulfillment request and whether or not it was received before the same-day shipping cutoff) as the
Received At date, and you won't have a need to change it.
However, you might have a large order going to a department store that has a specific shipping window, but you want to transmit the order to Shipvine as a fulfillment request ahead of time so we can start working on it. You can set the Start Ship date to a date in the future to tell Shipvine that it's OK to pick and package the order to get it ready, but not to actually ship it until the Start Ship date.
To control the end of the shipping window, or the date by which Shipvine should have the fulfillment request shipped, set the
Ship By date.
