Information collection and use

Shipvine is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Shipvine collects information from its users via the Web sites that it operates to offer its services as well as the APIs called by its users to invoke those services.

Information collected for fulfillment purposes

We request information from users in order to perform the services offered by Shipvine. The information requested is a set of data that is reasonably required to fulfill a particular purpose. For example, in order for Shipvine to dispatch a parcel, Shipvine must collect the merchant name, recipient address, line item information, and so forth. This personally identifiable information is not willingly disclosed to third parties except as necessary to fulfill the service request. In the previous example, some information may need to be transmitted to USPS or FedEx to fulfill the service request.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of textual data stored on the user's hard drive by his Web browser. The most common use of cookies in Shipvine properties is to "log the user in" to our Web sites to show the user his protected information. Cookies are also used to store time zone preferences and other innocuous information. In no way does the cookie grant Shipvine the ability to read other data stored on a user's computer, nor does it allow Shipvine to read data about any other sites that the customer may have visited.

Log files

Shipvine uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses can also be used in investigations into technical problems, fraudulent use, or to research security incidents.

Sharing information to third parties

Shipvine does not currently share the information that it collects from its users except as is reasonably required to fulfill the particular purpose of picking, packing, and shipping an order to a customer. For example, some information may need to be transmitted to USPS or FedEx to fulfill a service request. Shipvine does not use any customer or order information for marketing purposes or provide it to any other third party.

If Shipvine decides to use personally identifiable information in a manner that is different from that stated at that time it was collected, then Shipvine will notify users by way of an e-mail.
